JUNK. Magazine is a fictional magazine that is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and empowering readers to embrace sustainability through upcycling, mindful consumption, and innovative, eco-friendly practices. Research for this project centered around alternative sustainability approaches like upcycling. In writing the articles, I also looked into other sustainability topics like composting and aquaponics. JUNK. is intended to give new life and second chances to old things; after all, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. The name itself emphasizes reusability, by removing the dot above the “j” and adding it to the end of the word, it gives it a second chance to be seen differently by “recycling” parts.
